National Institute of Technology, Durgapur was established in 1960, and was first of the five NITs in the country. Since then, we have kept our pledge to nurture and cultivate the manpower the Industry needs to grow and prosper. NIT Durgapur will be completing its 60 glorious years this academic session. Ours is the one of the oldest NITs in the country to offer top-quality degree-level programs in engineering subjects. The Institute currently offers undergraduate and graduate-level courses over a total of 10 disciplines. We are proud to mention that our Institute has been ranked 9th among all the 31 NITs in the country by the MHRD, Govt. Of India, for the session 2018-19.
