The Belgian Petroleum Federation (BPF) represents the downstream interests (refining and distribution) of the main Belgian oil companies. The BPF has 12 members of which 4 refineries, 3 storage companies and 7 companies active in the distribution of petroleum products, covering 100 % of Belgian petroleum refining capacity and about 80 % of Belgian retail fuel sales. BPF defends the interests of its members towards governmental bodies, associations and the general public, for topics for general interest to its sector.
