Kromnigon was founded by two research scientists at the University of Gothenburg. The company is based on two inventions that greatly simplifies immunofluorescence histology (IHC). The driving force behind the inventions was our own painstaking experience of setting up stainings of tissues with three or more colors (multiplex IHC) and capturing flawless images. StreptaClick is a new technology using monovalent streptavidin for fluorescence multistaining of tissues with biotinylated antibodies. SpectraSplit are light filters for standard fluorescence microscopes allowing 7-color images without computional spectral unmixing. Hence, Kromnigon makes life at the lab bench easier and affordable for experts as well as beginners in immunofluorescence histology.
