Cornerstone Hydro Electric Concepts (CHEC) is an association of 15 small Local Electricity Distribution Companies (LDCs) operating in Ontario. Since 2000, CHEC has helped its member utilities achieve increasingly efficient and effective operations through sharing of services, information, and resources. Our members have an established relationship with their customers and a history of providing reliable, local electricity service. By pooling their resources within the CHEC group, the CHEC LDCs have achieved the best of both worlds: maximizing their services and efficiencies while maintaining their important role as responsible corporate citizens in their communities. Our company page shares information and updates that reflect and discuss the innovations and best practices that are being implemented and developed within our organization. In addition, we discuss lessons learned from the successful adaptations to today’s changing electrical utility industry and the advantages we have achieved by providing our customers with the best possible experience.
