Yes For Chess is an after-school enrichment program that uses chess to teach kids critical thinking, creative problem solving, and patience, in a fun and stimulating setting. We work with all skill levels, from teaching fundamentals to students who have never played, to advanced logic and tactics for experienced students. With the idea that the children will learn chess if they are having fun, we recruit instructors that are great with kids and have a background in chess, instead of the stereotypical chess professional who struggles to connect with a classroom of children. Our approach is a refreshing alternative to the sometimes overly competitive world of scholastic chess, and we are confident that Yes For Chess would be a fantastic addition to your school's enrichment program!
