Born in Stockholm in 2005 from the vision of three friends, Vasuma has grown to become Sweden’s leading eyewear company. An indie brand with personality, their cutting-edge designs fashioned from sustainable materials celebrate vintage influences and modernity, complimenting the individuality of the wearer. Their products can be found in over 1,000 high-end opticians worldwide. Vasuma has from the start focused on producing quality pro-ducts that last. Offered repairs and not least, pushed for the use of sustainable materials in both production of eyewear and packaging. With their efforts Vasuma hope to contribute to a more ecologically conscious eyewear industry. Revenge of the ’Eyewear-snake’ The overall theme for the collection is based on how it used to be growing up with glasses. Having glasses meant you were made fun of, and bullies calling you ’Glasögonorm’. The Swedish name translates in english to ’Eyewear-snake’. Vasuma has therefor named every style after a snake to honour every ’Eyewear-snake’ out there and showing that finally the revenge of the Eyewear-snake is here!
