MELNIK was found in Barcelona in 1992. We currently have the headquarters in Calaf (Barcelona). We are specialized in the production and distribution of polymeric sheets and films. Our polymeric sheets are sold under our brand names of Plakene® and Phoenix and both target the graphic arts industry. Our polymeric films are named Rolkene, and are addressed to the thermoforming industry. Melnik is currently the only manufacturer in Spain of compact polypropylene (PP) sheets and one of the few that manufacture compact polystyrene (PS) sheets. In 1999 Melnik launched Plakene®, a compact color polypropylene sheet product line that is a reference in the national and European graphic arts market, and targets a variety of applications. Afterwards, our Phoenix product line was introduced to sell our polystyrene sheets (PS). Rolkene is Melnik’s polymeric film line of products. We manufacture film for thermoforming products on the food, pharmacy, agriculture and industry sectors. We manufacture a variety of products with different properties that range from monolayer films to multilayer and barrier multilayer films.
