"Opensource Power and Storage"(sm) The OpenKilowatt(sm) Institute is an on-line collaborative community, solving design and cost issues for small (kilowatt-scale) power generation and storage. Our goal is to empower every home and office to be energy net-zero, cost-effectively. The members of the Institute believe we can harness the good ideas of 10,000 people, to drive the installed cost of green energy below 4c/wkh, the current wholesale cost of coal-fired electricity. This will cause us to cross a "tipping point" where consumers and utilities start demanding and using renewable energy in quantity.
