The Islamic Republic of Iran Medical Council is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) which is responsible for licensing, authorization, and registration of the all healthcare professionals (except nurses who are registered by Iran Nursing Organization.) to practice in Iran. IRIMC strives to achieve the following goals: 1) Continued improvement of the quality of health care 2) Improvement of the medical practice as well as medical education to a more excellent level. 3) Promoting as well as maintaining the quality of health care practice 4) Definition, protection and supporting patients' rights 5) Protection of the professional rights of the health care professionals 6) Regulating bi or multilateral collaborations between health care professionals and other associations & organizations All Iranian health care professionals are registered and licensed by IRIMC.
