The Capilano Finance Association (CFA) is a student run organization that strives to educate students by the use of implementing valuable networking events, along with informative educational sessions where students can learn about the stock market. In the long term, we hope to work with Capilano University's School of Business to establish an endowment fund, as well as to create a CFA streamlined finance program, along with creating co-op and internship opportunities for students. VISION STATEMENT: Our Vision at the Capilano Finance Association is to allow the opportunity for every student with the desire to be involved in the financial sector equal access to opportunities that allow them a competitive edge, network and support group they can utilize for the rest of their careers. MISSION STATEMENT: Our mission at the Capilano Finance Association is to: -Teach fellow students ways to use practical knowledge and basic financial concepts in their lives. -Expose more advanced and applicable investment theory and execution through online simulation. -Give students opportunities to create connections and network within the financial sector in Vancouver through formalized events and workshops. -Competitive advantage in every students life due to having a close support group of peers who can assist and hold each other accountable to guarantee the continuous progression of their respective careers.
