I am the author of this nonfiction travel-humor book that was published in October of 2016 after nearly four years of writing/editing/researching. Vagrants in Paradise tells the story of four friends from New York who leave college to volunteer on organic farms on the Big Island of Hawaii. Authors that helped inspire this book include David Sedaris, Bill Bryson, Hunter S. Thompson, and Charles Bukowski.
