The Restaurant Rescue Project is a volunteer organization within the Yale Hunger and Homelessness Action Project (YHHAP), based in New Haven, CT. Mainly, we reallocate excess food from grocery stores, restaurants, etc. to communities of need such as soup kitchens and halfway houses. We've also organized supermarket drives last year, and are currently developing a workshop series teaching nutrition to low-income New Haven children: the Junior Chef series. Our mission is food justice for all through sustainability.
