The BOTI experience is about connecting an emotion and memory to a sense of place so that it becomes a positive force for the end user. It may be about space and beauty but can also be as simple as understanding the fow and functionality of a facility to minimize a negative experience. Similarly in mixed use it might be about creating defensive space that eliminates possible negative outcomes.
