"Planta", a 1982 founded company, is an international sustainable tourism and environmental consulting firm based in Madrid, Spain, with a branch office in Chile and alliances in many Latin-American and some European countries. We have provided technical assistance for strategic tourism, circular economy projects, destination and environmental planning and management, including bioenergy, in 40 countries worldwide within: - Europe - The Americas - Africa - Asia With multilateral financing from the Inter-American Development Bank, United Nations, World Tourism Organization, European Union, Organization of American States, the Spanish Cooperation Agency, German GTZ Cooperation Agency and others. Specialized in feasibility and market analysis, we also provide innovative concepts for private unique projects and we give technical assistance to startups and Private-Public-Partnerships in the tourism, environmental and bioenergy fields. We have provided advice to tourism destinations, ecotourism/green resorts, national parks, and other protected areas with high tourism and recreation potential, but also exposed to high environmental risks. We take climate change effects into account and follow an inclusive development approach, using tourism as a tool for sustainable development and as a business opportunity to push the private sector and tourism destinations. Especially in rural remote or peripheral emerging areas, covering all the tourism and leisure related activities along the value chain (circle economy). Recently we have participated in bioenergy projects, oriented to convert biological material (biomas and waste) into electrical power and heat. We have successfully managed more than 150 projects in 40 countries and 4 Continents over the past 35 years. We are used to work in English, Spanish, French and German.
