Gendron Construction started in 1976 and specialized in residential construction projects. In the early 2000s, the company pivoted its focus from the residential market to concentrate on new construction, site development, and commercial construction with an emphasis on healthcare facilities and medical build-outs. In 2015, GenCon, Inc. was rebranded as a Healthcare and Life-Science Construction Management firm with the core values of family, employee growth, and integrity. In 2020, ownership was transitioned to three employees who played key roles in the growth of GenCon from a small scale operation to a well-established CM firm in and around the greater Boston area.
