Founded in 1928 Sligo Rovers Football Club is a professional soccer club located in Sligo city centre, Ireland. The club plays in the Airtricity Premier Division and in season 2010 finished in 3rd place (qualifying for the UEFA Europa League) and won both the FAI Ford Cup and EA Sports League Cup. The club plays its home games at its 12-acre stadium known as The Showgrounds. Sligo Rovers Football Club is know colloqially as The Bit O' Red.
