The Theological Faculty is the eldest School of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University which was erected at Nagyszombat in 1635. As a Theological Institution it dedicates her activity traditionally to the so called “sacred sciences”, which mean different Fields of Theology, Christian Philosophy, Biblical Studies, Ecclesiastical History and Canon Law. The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University is a unique institution among the law schools in Hungary. Having a solid fundament – believing that truth has to be beyond the law – makes our institution a place of real freedom. The Faculty is unique in Hungarian higher education in that our curriculum combines the study of The curriculum of the education at the Faculty of Information Technololgy has been elaborated by around thirty internationally recognized reseachers and professors under the leadership of Professor Tamás Roska, Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In the Faculty, which is unique in Hungary and even in Europe, The past and present mission of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Pázmány Péter University is to promote responsible behaviour, critical thinking and a conscious commitment to Christian values. Our Hungarian Catholic University is an intellectual hub and community which, in addition to its own mission, wishes to educate students willing work towards the rebuilding and redevelopment of our nation at home.
