In Computer Engineering, we were pioneers in the development of the internet, and continue to advance high performance computing and cybersecurity. Our research in Nanoelectronics, Electromagnetics and Photonics introduces new materials for the next generation of hardware for information processing, theories for quantum computing, and high efficiency solar cells in collaboration with the Institute for Energy Conversion. Signal Processing, Communications, and Control at UD have established fundamental theories to advance wireless communications and imaging, to understand and model biological processes and diseases, and to explore the ocean and coastal environment.
