The Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO) was founded in 1987, and provides Australian, New Zealand and Asian optometrists with education and training in the field of neurodevelopmental optometry. - children's vision - learning difficulties - traumatic brain injury - sports vision - binocular vision dysfunction Behavioural Optometrists play an important role in children’s vision, and much of ACBO’s planned communications will focus on this vital area of patient care by engaging with parents and educators. The centrepiece of ACBO’s communication strategy is the new patient-oriented website featuring loads of information for the public, and brilliant new functionality for members. ACBO provides the following benefits to optometry professionals: - Conferences and study groups including the ACBO State Conference every year, National ACBO Vision Conference, and every 4 years ACBO joins forces with OEP in presenting an international conference - Through our Bookshop, for the purchase of books and equipment at a discounted rate for members - Provide a Fellowship program in order that members can extend their theoretical and clinical skills.
