Oxford Leadership Programmes specialises in the design, delivery and evaluation of leadership development programmes in healthcare settings. We view leadership to be the practical ability to achieve results through and with others. As is increasingly recognised, leadership is an essential capability for all healthcare professionals. Many providers offer leadership development training. What makes us unique is our focus on up-to-date evidence based design, delivery and evaluation of leadership development programmes. Programme Design We tailor each of our programmes to the needs of participants, programme commissioners and stakeholders. This helps us ensure active engagement of participants, facilitates transfer of training into the workplace, and helps commissioners and stakeholders achieve their desired outcomes from programmes. We can offer a range of programme designs, from residential courses, to away-days and single sessions. We specialise in project-based programmes which offer participants opportunities to try, reflect on and evolve their leadership skills and techniques. Programme Evaluation Annually in excess of £300 billion is globally spent on leadership development, yet many programmes rely on superficial feedback to evaluate their success. We believe that proper evaluation of courses is essential to facilitate ongoing development and to help organisations increase their internal capacity to deliver effective leadership development. Using a range of methods developed in academic and industry research, we explore participant reactions, learning, change in behaviour as well as the organisational outcomes of our programmes.
