As of 1 September 2020 there launches, within the Centre for Antitrust and Regulatory Studies (CARS) at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, the Climate & Energy Laboratory. It is another embodiment of statutory tasks of CARS within the scope of regulated and special sectors. This time we found the Laboratory which will occupy with the entire energy sector, in particular electrical power engineering, heating and the gas industry. Establishment of the Climate & Energy Laboratory will allow for performance of a wide array of activities aimed at learning – scientific research and studies. It will be an opportunity to tighten the cooperation between science and public administration through exchange of experiences and realization of common, interdisciplinary activities. It will also allow for practical support of legislative process and functioning of regulatory authorities, as well as energy companies adjusting their actions to requirements of energy and competition law (compliance). The Laboratory will initiate and edit non-serial and serial publications, organize scientific conferences, as well as workshops and practical trainings.
