Museotechniki is an open innovation and knowledge management European startup company, based in Athens, Greece that aims to expand cultural impact in society by merging cultural management prerequisites with emerging technologies and business model innovation. It collaborates with cultural organisations, research and educational institutions and industrial partners in order to contact applied research and development, conceive new products and services and figure out how best to bring them to market for the benefit of the museum professional community. Museotechniki was one of the winners of the first @Diversity – European Idean Competition Awards 2013, competing in the “access culture” category with the “museofabber.com – Access to Printable Museum Collections” project. The “@Diversity: innovative ideas for the cultural and creative sectors in Europe” (www.at-diversity.eu) is a pilot project launched by the European Parliament and organised by the Commission's Directorate General for Education and Culture, which recognises outstanding examples of ICT innovation to promote culture.
