HFTP - UNLV Student Chapter HFTP is a global nonprofit hospitality association that uniquely understands the industry’s problems. We assist our members in finding solutions to industry problems more efficiently than any organization via our expert networks, research, conferences such as HITEC, and certification programs. HFTP is recognized as the spokes group for the finance and technology segment of the hospitality industry. Getting Involved The student chapter holds meetings throughout each semester. The meetings offer opportunities to meet guest speakers from the industry and collaborate with members of the Las Vegas chapter. Student members can also attend the annual convention and tradeshow which is held every September/October and the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition & Conference (HITEC) which is held the third week in June of each year. Active student members will have the opportunity to win merit-based scholarships via an endowment given to the Hotel College by HFTP as well as travel scholarships to attend HITEC.
