Blessed by Ma Tripursundari, the Mother Goddess of the local population, 'Tremendous Tripura' is adorned with various world-class tourist destinations such as the Ma Tripursundari Temple, the seat of the venerable Ma Tripursundari and one of the 51 Shaktipeeths in the country, the Unakoti Rock Carvings (Ancient Rock Carvings of Lord Shiva and other Indian deities), the resplendent Neer Mahal (Palace in the middle of the Lake) which are visited in large numbers by tourists from across the world. The Government of Tripura, under the leadership of its dynamic Chief Minister, Shri Biplab Kumar Deb has outlined a vision for 'Transforming Tripura into a Model State'. The State Government is undertaking a wide-range of path-breaking reforms and initiatives in order to attain this vision & ensure the holistic development of the state.
