My name is Stephen Hill and I am a substance abuse and motivational speaker. After a long battle with substance abuse, I am now in my fifth year of recovery. Over the past two years I have been sharing my story at schools, treatment centers, and town hall meetings. I use my personal experiences with drugs and alcohol, the struggles my family went through while I was actively using, and the knowledge I have gained while working in the field of addiction to give an educational presentation about substance abuse. The prescription drug and heroin epidemic that is currently happening in America has been deemed a public health crisis. I have lost many friends to the disease of addiction. I share my story with the intention of educating the public about addiction, preventing the onset of substance abuse, offering treatment solutions for those who are already stuck in active addiction, and to promote a clean and sober lifestyle.
