The SSSC is composed of over 60 students from within the Faculty of Social Science, including elected executives and representatives, appointed commissioners and members-at-large. The Social Science Students' Council strives to enrich the experience of every Social Science Student by representing students, providing opportunities, and delivering services. Our official charity is the Children's Health Foundation. We raise money for Children's Hospital at Victoria Hospital to help 'Give Little Hearts Big Futures.' The SSSC runs charity coffee houses, bar nights, and other events to help raise money for kids that need our help. The SSSC runs events and programming throughout the year, including formals, concerts, undergraduate preview days, speaker series, and more. We also advocate on behalf of social science students on University Students' Council and University Senate.
