The New England Medical Association (NEMA) is the regional affiliate of the National Medical Association (NMA). We look to build a rich community among black physicians and physicians in training in the New England area. To give you a brief summary of who we are: Our Mission: To serve as a collective voice for physicians of African descent in the New England area and to promote the interest of our members. To be advocates for parity and justice in medicine with a focus on eliminating disparities across the entire health care system. • Equipping members with the tools needed to succeed in areas of academics, research, technology, advocacy and public health through a support network. • Providing professional education, science and scholarly exchange, the advancement of health policies, medical education and member recognition align in order to align with the pillars of the National Medical Association. • Partnering with key stakeholders to uphold our mission and the interest of our members for the betterment of healthcare.
