Members of the Lake City Ambulance attend regular training sessions and maintain their medical certifications to ensure that they are at their best when you are at your worst. The hard-working individuals of Lake City Ambulance provide round-the-clock medical care at both the ALS and BLS levels in the form of 9-1-1 responses, interfacility transfers, and mutual aid to surrounding communities. Service to the community does not stop with medical care. In an effort to keep Lake City a Heart Safe Community, the ambulance service maintains AEDs within the community and offers CPR classes. Lake City Ambulance also participated in National Stop the Bleed Day, offering several free classes to the community in order to educate them on bleeding control. Advancing Lake City’s commitment to keeping the city a great place to work and live, EMT and EMR classes are offered so that others can further their education and their careers while helping the community. Additionally, Lake City Ambulance offers community outreach in the form of blood pressure and blood sugar checks, welfare visits, as well as ECG evaluations, all at no cost to the patient. Potential candidates should be current on both their NREMT and MN EMSRB licenses (at the Paramedic, EMT, and EMR levels).
