We are the publishers of Farafina Books, Prestige Books and Farafina Magazine until suspension of its publication in 2009. We have also established a non-profit trust, Farafina Trust, whose broad mission is to promote literature and literary skills in Africa. In addition to books and magazines, we intend to develop multimedia content, including CD-Roms, e-based learning platforms and films. In 2009 we began collaborating with Slate Films, a British film production company, to produce the movie Half of a Yellow Sun. Farafina Books offers the best in contemporary African writing and since our inception, we have published over 30 titles from Africa’s celebrated authors such as Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Chris Abani, Ben Okri, and Ngugi wa Thiong’o amongst others. We also publish children’s/educational titles such as Beem Explores Nigeria, the Eze Series, and the Handa Series.
