Established in 2016, Zero Waste Malaysia (“ZWM”) is a non-profit organisation (PPM-044-10-29032018) registered under The Registry of Societies of Malaysia and a community group based in Malaysia advocating for sustainable development and aiming to increase the local community’s awareness in sustainable living. Our Vision: "Malaysia becoming a green nation" We envision a world that turns talks into actions - adopting the Zero Waste Lifestyle and rethinking the everyday actions we take and their impact on our environment and country. Our humble achievements till date: - 6 awards and accolades won - >1,000,000 audience impacted - >38,000 zero waste advocates in our community - >100 talks, interviews, workshops delivered - 850 Pinned locations on ZWM map for the public to locate zero waste and eco-friendly resources - 3 educational handbooks & a lesson plan published with > 25k downloads to date We serve the community through: - Building a community for >40k members to share their sustainability actions - Delivering talks to schools, corporates and more - Corporate engagement (immersive programs and workshops) - Publishing zero waste & sustainable living materials - Creating a Zero Waste Map database for public to locate eco resources (eg bulk food, recycling points, repair & upcycle etc.) - Organising and participating in interviews, events etc for awareness & education; And more.
