Thirst Project Portugal

my.thirstproject.org

Thirst Project is a non-profit organization whose aim is to bring safe drinking water to communities around the world where it is not immediately available. Thirst Project acts with the help of young people who are eager to help. The truth is that over 663 million people do not have access to safe, clean, drinking water everyday all over the world and we want to put an end to the global water crisis. Thirst Project was founded in 2008, in the USA, and brought officially to Portugal in 2019 where it has teams in schools and universities all over the country and organizes fundraising events. Thirst Project builds wells in developing countries so women and children don't have to walk 6 to 8 hours every day to the nearest pond, and instead can go to work or school. With a board of 11 members and a national team of 40, adding up the hundreds of young people in schools and universities spread in our country, Thirst Project Portugal aims to end the global water crisis.
