The mission of The Tenth Man is to provide an alternative voice to those who have started to go down the path of thinking that suicide is their only solution. The path to suicide starts with suicide ideation which then develops into a plan followed by attempt. The Tenth Man will offer resources to help with those every day life challenges that seem insurmountable at the moment. When people are suffering from depression or PTSD, life challenges such as divorce, child custody, college tuition, mortgages, etc., often seem overwhelming to the point of physically feeling like one is suffocating. People in this circumstance often do not know where to turn for help. The Tenth Man resource pool will have experience and expertise in these areas, as well as a genuine concern and understanding of the relational impact depression has on these life challenges.
