Qatalyst represents a new name and a new operating model for a firm with a long operating history. Under our former name, FWCO Management Consultants, we have been providing management consulting services to public, non-profit and private sector clients across Canada for more than 30 years, first through our former subsidiary, Ference Weicker & Company Ltd., and more recently in association with Goss Gilroy Inc. We understand consulting. We also understand that the consulting industry needs to change. The traditional model isn’t working anymore and many mid-sized consulting firms are disappearing. In this era of the gig economy, most consultants want to work independently or in small firms. At the same time, clients increasingly need multi-disciplinary teams of specialists capable of bringing a range of skills to bear on a particular project. We saw the need for a mechanism that can quickly and cost-effectively connect our clients with the specialized expertise they need, and then support those consulting teams with leading edge tools, technologies, project management and research capabilities. Better teams, better systems and better technology will drive better results for our clients. Qatalyst is that mechanism. Our mission is to deliver leading-edge consulting services in a rapidly changing world. Building on our core group of about 20 professionals and an extensive network of over 150 associates located across Canada and internationally, Qatalyst delivers an increasingly wider range of services to government, the non-profit sector and the private sector. We continue to expand our network of associates, make significant investments in new tools and technologies, and expand our capability to provide clients with full range of services from planning to implementation.
