Mangrove Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), started functioning from 26 th June 2005, It is one of the government approved private polytechnic institute having an objective of achieving excellence in technical education of Bangladesh. Mangrove Institute of Science and Technology has been established at industrial area khalishpur of khulna division, known for the world famous mangrove forest with a view to expecting to help the students of this land to fulfill their dream to be a successful engineer. From the name of world largest mangrove forest in south Bengal area it named 'Mangrove Institute of Science and Technology'. Mangrove Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) Campus is situated at Baikali, 2 km north from the Khulna main city and by the side of the Khulna-Jessore highway also at front of Khulna divisional stadium. Its own campus is now stands at a large area. Mangrove Institute is the first private polytechnic which shifted its own permanent campus. The campus has 52000 sqft construction areas with nice architecturul view and has all modern facilities. The communication system with Mangrove Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) campus is better than any other. At present there are 120 teachers and staff, 1800 students under Diploma Engineering program and 300 student under various short course. Mangrove Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) offers 4 years Diploma in Engineering and several type of training course of ICT.
