The Baldwin-Whitehall School District is a suburban, residential area located eight miles south of downtown Pittsburgh. This middle class community of residents encompasses a wide range of educational, occupational, economical, and cultural backgrounds. The five district schools provide an array of educational opportunities to serve the needs of the community. The mission of the Baldwin-Whitehall School District is to provide, in partnership with parents and the community, a challenging educational program in a safe and caring environment that provides the opportunity for each student to achieve maximum potential while developing an attitude of life-long learning. The Baldwin-Whitehall School District recognizes that the pace of change in our world is placing new and more complex demands on students and schools. These demands impact the acquisition and use of knowledge, the nature and speed of communication, the scope of business and finance, and the manner in which people conduct their daily lives.
