Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale
www.komenmiaftl.orgSusan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale serves Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. At Susan G. Komen® Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, our mission is simple: to save lives and end breast cancer forever. How we do it…well, that’s a bit more complex. We educate, support research and offer grants that provide financial and emotional assistance. But in a broader sense, we empower others, ensure quality care for all, and invest in science to find the cures. Since our Affiliate was founded in 1999, we have invested nearly $10 million in local breast health and breast cancer awareness projects in our service area. Between 2016 to 2017, Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale invested nearly $600,000 in 18 projects administered by local non-profit hospitals, health care clinics and community-based organizations. These community partners help advance the Komen mission by providing breast health education, as well as breast cancer screening, diagnostics and treatment to the uninsured and medically under-served in our community. Thanks to the thousands of people who participate in the Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale More Than Pink Walk® and other events each year, dedicated corporate partners and generous donors, Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale is playing a vital role in fighting breast cancer in our community. For more information, please contact our office at 954-909-0454 or visit our website www.komenmiaftl.org.
