Fair Food is Auckland’s original food rescue charity distributing surplus fresh foods to over 50 community groups across Auckland each week for free. We keep good food from going to landfill by collecting and hand sorting it with volunteers. We’re proudly rooted in West Auckland and are passionate about feeding our neighbours in a way that recognises their mana. Last year, we rescued 753,732 tonnes of food, which is the equivalent of 2.2 million meals provided to the community, thanks to our volunteer crew. Fair Food has built strong relationships with food suppliers, food recipients and in October 2020, we were awarded the Greater NZ Food Heroes Award at the NZ Food Awards.
