Children’s Scrapstore provides a unique service collecting clean, safe, colourful business surplus materials and making it available as low-cost resources for creative activities to people and groups working with children, young people, and therapeutic communities. We support and promote creative play, educational and artistic activities, environmental sustainability, and the re-use unwanted materials. We serve a membership of 1350 member groups most of which are voluntary, and our discounts and low cost resources mean that these groups can then better serve their users. We provide a number of complimentary projects and services: • Artrageous Arts and Crafts Shop • Scrapstore PlayPods • Rural Roadshows • Community Art and Craft Workshops • Funding Advice Service We also run a community building which not only houses the Scrapstore and the Artrageous shop, but also children’s organisations, an environmental architect company, and an organic supermarket and café.
