The Berri Barmera Council is located in South Australia’s Riverland, approximately 220km north east of Adelaide on the beautiful Murray River. The Council employs approximately 76 staff representing 65 FTE across a range of disciplines including infrastructure, planning and development, community development, finance, environmental, corporate governance. The Council is responsible for the provision of a ranges of services including the maintenance and upkeep of 485km of roads, 54.214 Ha of irrigated parklands and Recreation and Sport venues, 2 libraries, cemeteries, the State Heritage listed Bonney Theatre, Town Hall, Public Swimming Pool and a Visitor Information Centre.
