Mark Rutherford School is an 11-19 school in the northern part of Bedford, with approximately 1250 students on roll. It serves a wide ranging, urban catchment area and also receives students from other parts of the town and surrounding villages. The school opened in 1973 and offers a strong and wide-ranging curriculum to suit the needs of all its students, regardless of their ability or background.
