At JFCS, we believe in healing the world with loving kindness. Because mental health is essential to community health, we are committed to offering person-centered treatment with effective strategies for coping and emotional healing. We are trauma experts. Our core trauma-informed therapy services are available to Tucson’s children, families and adults who have witnessed, or have been victims of crime or abuse. Special trauma-related programs also serve Tucson's first responders, Holocaust Survivors, and others who have experienced recent and historical trauma. In addition to social services and trauma-related therapy, JFCS specializes in general counseling services for anxiety, family & marriage counseling, conflict resolution, bereavement, and other life challenges. We also provide direct emergency financial assistance, older adult support services, and Passover food baskets to struggling Jewish individuals and their families. Additionally, more than 60 Holocaust Survivors depend on JFCS for case management, counseling, financial assistance, in-home support services and socialization. For over 76 years, JFCS has served thousands of people of all faiths, age and gender groups, ethnic and racial backgrounds—regardless of their ability to pay. We strive to reduce the stigma of seeking mental health services, and to strengthen our community by helping people embark on a path for healing and self-sufficiency.
