It is a charity that was formed in 2011 to expand the reach of the FIRST organization into all of Carroll County. Our vision is to provide "Robotics for all" in Carroll County, Maryland. PIE3 features the "Pride of Carroll County"--FRC 2199: the "Robolions"--recognized by the FIRST organization as outstanding in community outreach for three consecutive years running (starting in 2014).They were a finalist in northern Maryland in 2016. PIE3 also sponsors two FIRST Tech Challenge Teams from South Carroll High School. PIE3 extends from southern Carroll County all the way to Union Bridge, MD with plans to expand into Westminster and Taneytown in 2017. There are 20 FIRST Lego League teams 4 FIRST Technology Challenge teams and also some Junior FIRST Lego League teams. For the last ten years, PIE3 has also sponsored the "Roar of the Robots"--a FIRST Lego League qualifying event Board: Tom Milnes - President Rose Young - Treasurer Joseph Burke - Secretary
