Founded by the late Madaline and Garland Derden, Sr. of Stuttgart, Derden's was incorporated in 1960 where it originally operated out of the couple’s home in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Derden Electric started out as a residential heating, air conditioning, refrigeration and electrical service company, but quickly grew into a contracting and commercial market company as well. As of today, owners Garland Derden, Jr. and Freddy Derden, see it as their personal goal to continue the high service standards taught to them by their parents.
