Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (abbreviated SLIET i.e. सलाइट ) is a Govt. of India established (1989) deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 for higher education and research in India. It is well known as "Modern Gurukul" of Tech Education due to lush green, serene and natural atmosphere similar that of ancient Gurukuls of India. The institute campus is situated on 451 acres in the Longowal (Punjab) India.
