25:40 is a non-profit company based in Virginia dedicated to helping communities in rural South Africa save their orphans and vulnerable children from poverty, disease and violence. 25:40 accomplishes this primarily through after school care programs that provides orphans a safe and nurturing place to stay after school, nutrition, academic support, health monitoring, emotional and social services, all based on Christ's love. 25:40 also helps in the operation of a pre-school on Canzibe Mission, whose focus is teaching children the Gospel and giving them a head start in school. 25:40 trains community workers to establish and operate their own after care programs modeled after 25:40's pilot at the Canzibe Mission. 25:40's mission also is to provide training in practical, employable skills to youth and adults in the community and beyond to alleviate poverty and improve quality of life for the Xhosa culture in the rural, poverty-stricken Eastern Cape.
