Oregon Forest Resources Institute
www.oregonforests.orgNearly half of Oregon is covered in forests. These forests provide many social, environmental and economic benefits to the state and its residents, including clean air and water, recreational opportunities, jobs and the wood products that we use every day. It is important that all Oregonians have the opportunity to learn more about our forests and how they're a vital resource. In 1991, the Oregon Legislature created the Oregon Forest Resources Institute (OFRI) to support and enhance Oregon’s forest products industry. The state agency provides forest and forestry education programs for the general public, K-12 teachers and students, and forest landowners.
