Terrace Metrics
www.terracemetrics.orgTerrace Metrics-School Version (henceforward, “Terrace Metrics”) contracts with school districts to administer a comprehensive behavioral health (i.e., risk/resiliency) tool that is appropriate for students from grades 3 - 12. The tool assesses the strongest predictors of interpersonal and intrapersonal functioning, both of which are vital components of current and future academic success. Terrace Metrics’ proprietary software quickly provides the results for each student to schools and parents. These results are accompanied by straightforward and practical suggestions for improvement or intervention (where necessary). The assessment is fast (90% complete the assessment in 15 minutes or less), the process is efficient (requiring little of school resources), and the system is financially sensible for school districts regardless of setting. The reason for this service is simple: school districts struggle with how to identify students along a behavioral health continuum. While some students in the at-risk range may be identified through expensive and resource-taxing processes, roughly 75% go unidentified. Conversely, schools have no consistent and reliable way to assess youth reporting optimal functioning. Information provided by Terrace Metrics is designed to help schools (a) quickly identify and attend to students who are at the lower end of the behavioral health continuum, (b) formulate strategies to advance students higher in the continuum, and (c) maintain supports of students functioning in the optimal range, to keep them there.
