An independent and award-winning publisher of American ELT texts with a world focus, ABAX's two best selling series are Communication Spotlight: Speaking Strategies & Listening Skills and Top-Up Listening. In 2010 one of our texts, Fiction in Action: Whodunit by Adam Gray and Marcos Benevides won HRH the Duke of Edinburgh English Speaking Union Book Award, and in 2011 won the 2011 ELTons Cambridge ESOL International Award for Innovation. In Japan, ABAX imprint texts are promoted by ABAX Ltd, elsewhere by ABAX America. We currently sell into sixteen countries and are licensed into China. In addition to publishing under our own imprint, we have also written and edited two texts for URBest Publishing in Taiwan and four for Berlitz International and have concluded agreement with or are in negotiations with a number of universities to produce school-specific texts based on our own materials. Finally, ABAX Ltd. in addition to promoting ABAX materials also acts as agent in Japan for Helbling Languages, ELB Publishing and for English learning materials produced by the University of Victoria in Canada.
