About: Human Rights Voice was founded in 2020, in partnership with University College London's Political Science department, to support human rights activists and advocates to raise awareness of human rights issues around the world. Mission: Supporting young activists and advocates to write articles that amplify the voices of those who are subjected to human rights violations, and to promote solution-oriented discussions which are accessible, engaging and practical. Vision: Creating content that advances the values of democracy, sustainability, equality, justice, and human rights. Welcoming submissions from a variety of human rights activists in order to encourage diverse conversations and thinking. To practice “autokeonony” (“self in community”): to see activism not as a choice between self and community, but as a link between them that creates balance. To acknowledge that we share the same goal of equality and justice, and of supporting one another in our efforts to amplify voices for those who go unheard.
