Maine Interfaith Power and Light is a non-profit organization working to protect the natural world from climate change. We believe that climate change is a moral issue and through the Climate Care campaign we have been partnering with faith groups of all religions, providing educational workshops and resources designed to help them become more energy efficient and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. The goal of the campaign is to assist communities of faith in developing environmental stewardship programs that will be self-sustaining and replicable. We advocate for strong, effective climate and energy legislation in the United States Congress. We believe that because climate change most threatens the poor, the unborn and the natural world which sustains us, we must do all we can to prevent its most damaging effects.
